Jon Jones, the UFC champion, said he was personally invited by President Trump to attend his inauguration. Despite the criticism other celebrities have received, Jones stated that he felt it was his duty to attend. He also mentioned that he once gave Trump his championship belt when the president attended one of his fights. "Coming to be a proud America and support our great President'' he told us. "It's a really cool time to be in the UFC, be an America, be a champion, being invited by the President it's kind of a big deal.'' As for celebrities and athletes who have been criticized for their support of Trump Jon threw his hands up and responded "At the end of the day despite what political party you are in, I'm American and I was personally invited by our President and that's a sign that you gotta get up and get out.''
